The College of Business is seeking an adjunct/Associate School Head. This is a part-time (0.25 FTE), 9-month, professional faculty position.

This position is responsible for assisting the School Head in leading the academic, operational, and service involvement of the faculty, staff, and students. The incumbent reports directly to the School Head. They collaborate as a leader within the College of Business to further enhance the overall excellence of the College; and deepening the active commitment of the School to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities 70% In coordination with the School Head, manage all instructional faculty (non-professorial instructor ranks) within the school and assist with other tasks connected with School management.
   » Make teaching assignments to fulfill the schedule provided by the Senior Associate Dean.
   » Coordinate with the adjunct Dean of Teaching and Learning to support teaching effectiveness of all instructional faculty.
   » Coordinate with Associate Deans and manage the hiring process for non-professorial instructional faculty for the unit.
   » Perform annual performance reviews for all non-professorial instructional faculty, ensuring consistency in evaluations.
   » Manage School level P&T process for promotion to senior instructor ranks.
   » Keep faculty within the unit informed about school/program activities, curricula changes, and College initiatives.

30% Manage school-level operations and budget
   » Approve non-professorial instructional faculty professional development expenditures.
   » In collaboration with the School Head and the Senior Associate Dean for Analytics and Operations, manage enrollment of all programs (majors, minors, options) and courses in the unit. Make recommendations for changes to appropriate curriculum committee
What You Will Need At the adjunct School Head Level:
Master Degree in a discipline related to degree programs within the School of Marketing, Analytics, and Design.

At the Associate School Head Level:
Ph.D./J.D. in a discipline related to degree programs within the School of Marketing, Analytics, and Design.

Applicable to both the adjunct and Associate level:
Attained academic rank in the College as a tenured Associate or Full Professor with a strong record of academic achievement in research and teaching, or Senior Instructor I or II with a strong record of achievement in teaching.

Minimum of 4 years of practice as a participating faculty member teaching business courses in an AACSB accredited college of business in a university.

Demonstrated administrative and communication expertise and collegiality.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal expertise with the capability to build relationships internally and externally and promote a collaborative culture.

Strong credentials and commitment to academic excellence in teaching and service.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
