Primary Purpose of Position The Data Governance Coordinator is the team lead over the university's data governance program. Summary of Position Responsibilities The Data Governance Coordinator serves as the strategic and tactical leader for Data Governance across the university. The primary responsibility is to establish and maintain data governance standards, working closely with campus data stewards, owners, stakeholders, operational units, and OneIT teams. This position formulates and implements data governance strategies, supervises enterprise data governance initiatives, and ensures compliance with data privacy and security requirements. Additionally, this position develops, manages, and continuously refines governance structures, processes, policies, and standards to enhance our data assets and enable their utilization in administrative domains. Minimum Education/practice » Bachelor's degree and » Two+ years of broad work practice with large data sets preferably in higher education; or the » Equivalent combination of education and practice. » Data Governance implementation and adherence practice.
