This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) KBVR-FM Station Manager for the Orange Media Network (OMN) at Oregon State University (OSU).

Position tasks Job responsibilities:
   » Build audience and increase student volunteer participation with KBVR-FM
   » supervise all content on 88.7 FM, online live stream, social media, and online content, including shows, event broadcasts, live sports, music, blogs and podcasts. Develop new areas for growing KBVR-FM's variety of content
   » Schedule and organize all-DJ meeting at the beginning of each term to select shows and timeslots, and confirm eligibility of volunteer DJs
   » Maintain and create KBVR-FM documentation including DJ training packets, production planning, podcasting agreements, play-by-play agreements and DJ seniority lists
   » Plan and organize DJ training sessions at least once per term
   » Update social media channels multiple times daily. Interact with readers, post engaging content, and promote the station and OMN. Ensure all content is accurate and grammatically correct.
   » Work with campus partners to provide opportunities to begin new podcasts.
   » Share links to live stream on social media prior to live broadcasts with FM staff members, DJs and show guests. Check and respond to Discord for project management????
   » Fully participate in weekly OMN Student leadership abilities meetings
   » Work to ensure that OMN program content is current, significant, and consistent with OMN's mission, vision, and policies
   » Manage budget
   » Other tasks as assigned by the adviser
   » Communication
   » Meet regularly with OMN adviser to go over feedback and areas for improvement
   » Respond to emails, messages, team chats and phone calls the same day, professionally representing OMN
   » Report monthly to the OMN Advisory Board, providing updates, analysis and insightful information on engagement, staffing, strategies and accolades
   » Collaboration
   » Hold and post 20 regular office hours each week for Orange Media Network, at least half of these hours should be during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday). Hours may vary during different stages of the term
   » Follow all OMN policies and procedures and hold staff and volunteers to them as well
   » Act professionally

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Additional Required Qualifications Appropriate qualifications:
   » Served as a member of paid OMN staff for at least 6 months - or - as a volunteer OMN staff for at least 12 months
   » Is organized and reliable
   » Is practiced with coaching and with giving and receiving feedback
   » Able to remain professional and calm when working with difficult individuals and situations
   » Is expertiseable and practiced in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners
Preferred (Special) Qualifications Strongly Preferred Appropriate qualifications:
   » Had been a paid member of staff for at least 12 months
   » Had prior attendance and participation in OMN Fall training
   » Is expertiseable of the SPJ Code of Ethics
   » Is a strong writer, communicator and comfortable with public speaking
   » Is expertiseable in audio editing software
   » Is expertiseable of FCC rules and requirements
   » Is expertiseable in live on-air radio operations, podcasting or audio production
   » Is expertiseable of Spotify, and other online streaming services
