Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill four part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Hop Lab Technician positions for Food Science and Technology at Oregon State University (OSU). The Hop Laboratory Technician is responsible for following quantitative procedures to accurately perform chemical hop analysis in a timely fashion. This position supports the Brewing Lab and the Hop Breeding Program through the evaluation of new hop varieties and quantitative analysis of research hops. This person is expected to follow Standard Operating Procedures in carrying out analysis, focus on safety, maintain impeccable records, communicate with the graduate student lab manager, and represent the brewing lab in a professional manner. This position involves training during the Spring term of 2024 (April-May 2024), and work begins September 2024. Summer 2024 availcapability is preferred, but not required.
