Primary Purpose of Position Senior Director of Video Services will supervise the Video Production Unit that is responsible for creating video content for external use and in-game presentation. Create and maintain the direction of the athletic department's visual brand Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of practice related to the area of assignment in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment; or equivalent combination of training and practice. University Preferred Appropriate qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university in radio, television, and motion picture and two years of practice in producing television program and audiovisual materials; or an equivalent combination of education and practice. Essential Job tasks » Oversight of Video Production Unit » Responsibility for creative video content, including content for Charlotte49ers.com, athletic social media accounts, and other strategic distribution » Responsibility for creating video content for in-game presentation, with emphasis on football, men's and women's basketball » Responsibility for coordination of production for live events, either for linear TV stations or streaming productions per Conference USA broadcast requirements » Responsibility for creating video content to support campaigns for athletic department sponsors » Responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff members in Video Production Unit Other Work Responsibilities Serve as main athletic department liaison to university communication video staff.
