Job Summary This is an Internal Employment Opportunity

This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (approximately 15 hours per week) Education Program adjunct 2 position for the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Education Program adjunct 2 will develop, revise and review program material pertaining to the Master Beekeeper Program and will serve as subject matter specialist for the Oregon Master Beekeeper Program. This position will be a liaison between the Oregon Master Beekeeper Program administration and the Oregon Master Beekeeper Program advisory committee.

Key Responsibilities (35%) Review, revise, and develop program materials including exams, guided studies, and Master level proficiencies.

(35%) Develop additional learning opportunities directed toward all program levels, including hands-on training, advanced topics, and platforms for communication.

(10%) Be a subject matter resource including answering questions and holding discussion forums

(10%) Participate in supporting the Master level including the development and review of proposals and assisting in reviewing and evaluating student reports for proficiencies and research/outreach.

(10%) Act as a liaison between program administration and the Oregon Master Beekeeper Advisory Committee.

What We Require
Associate's Degree and three years of work practice (paid or volunteer) supporting community programs that serve children, youth or adults OR Bachelor's Degree and one year of work practice (paid or volunteer) one year of which must be working in youth development programs, adult education, teaching, program delivery or related functions OR Five years practice in a field related to the tasks of the position AND a high school diploma or equivalent. AND Demonstrated oral and written communication expertise. Demonstrated skill to work with diverse audiences. Demonstrated skill to use computers for word processing, data management, and communications.

What We Would Like You to Have .

Working Conditions / Work Schedule Occasionally work during evening or weekend required when participating in hands-on training events. Occasionally, travel within the state required to provide hands-on training to Oregon Master Beekeeper students
