Minimum Qualifications

   » High School Diploma / G.E.D. or equivalent
   » Valid NC Driver's license with good driving record
   » 1+ year(s) practice of mechanical, carpentry , industrial, building maintenance, and equipment operator, general maintenance or other related practice

 

Preferred Qualifications

   » 1-3 years practice in facility maintenance, or an equivalent combination of higher education and practice.
   » Electrical practice a plus.
   » HVACpractice a plus.

 

Position Description

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is in search of a Facilities Services Technician I with a versatile skill set encompassing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems maintenance and repair. The function entails executing a range of skilled maintenance tasks to enhance, repair, and renovate College structures, facilities, electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and fixtures, as designated. The employee will handle College vehicles and equipment in a safe manner, adhering to safety protocols, and actively participate in fostering a secure work environment for themselves and colleagues. Our Tech I positions also have the capability to enroll in our APPRENTICESHIPPROGRAM giving them added expertise and expertise for additional promotional and pay increase opportunities.
This posting is for two positions, located on our Cabarrus County campuses. Campus assignment will depend on many factors, which will be discussed prior to any commitment made by either party.
