This person will apply all safe food handling principles as they pertain to this position. This person will work with management and team members to instill and foster the value of The Inn's Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values: Cleanliness and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. The University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University's mission and values. tasks and Job responsibilities:: » Set-up of food area for service. » Serve guests and clean plates in a courteous manner. » Maintain a clean and neat work and service area including removal of dishes and breakdown of dining room after service. » Perform set-up and service for special functions. » Responsible for set-up of buffets/food areas as listed on BEO. » expertise of menu and basic ingredients in food items including allergy consciousness. » Perform additional tasks and assist with special projects as assigned. Minimum Appropriate qualifications:: Formal suitable education » High School diploma or GED equivalent . Specific Job expertise: » Basic expertise of food items, cleaning practices and simple food preparation. Minimum Work practice: » 1 year food service practice preferred Work expertise: » Oral and written communication expertise » capability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision. » Excellent customer service expertise Preferred Appropriate qualifications:: Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: : Standing for extended periods of time and capability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. Night and weekend hours are required to fulfill business needs.
