Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree and a current North CarolinaLevel II-EMS Instructor Credential at the Paramedic Level, required. Must have EMS or related allied health education, training, and practice, be expertiseable about methods of instruction, testing, and evaluation, of students, and have field practice in the delivery of pre-hospital emergency care. Minimum of two consecutive years education practice at the paramedic level is required.
Preferred QualificationsCommunity College teaching practice and prior managery practice, preferred. Master's degree in a health-related field, preferred.
Position DescriptionThe Director for Emergency Medical Science is responsible for the planning, programming, instruction, and evaluation of the Emergency Medical Science (EMS) related program offerings within both Continuing Education (CE) and Curriculum (CU). (12 month position).Participates in overall program evaluation to maintain compliance with the Committee on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Science Programs (CoAEMSP). Assists with the hiring, evaluation, performance management, and professional development of full-time and/or part-time faculty/staff. Maintains current expertise of program policies, procedures, and student progress. Participates in budget planning, preparation, and execution. Fulfills other tasks and responsibilities as a full-time employee. Must be willing to travel. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., occasional evenings and weekend hours. income: $4,997.00 per month with final income determination located upon education and practice.
