Information technology is the third largest university in North Carolina. The School of Music, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication, has an enrollment of over 250 music majors and minors with over 50 faculty and staff. Job tasks East Carolina University School of Music seeks qualified applications for a Fixed Term Teaching Instructor or Teaching adjunct Professor in the vocal studies department to teach applied VOICE (any voice type). Other tasks may include teaching courses in the vocal studies curriculum according to skills. Appropriate research/creative activities and service to the university, community and profession are encouraged. This position is contingent upon available funding. Minimum Education/practice Master's degree in voice performance or vocal pedagogy. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Evidence of success as a performing artist and applied teacher at the collegiate level required. A demonstrated and continuing commitment to teaching and performing. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A Preferred practice, Skills, Training/Education DMA or PhD in voice performance or pedagogy. Established record of teaching, performance and scholarship.
