Additionally, Information technology is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific expertise through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region. Job tasks The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina is recruiting a BE/BC pediatric cardiologist with skills in inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiac care. He/she will be responsible for outpatient clinic, outreach clinic, and inpatient management and consultations. The physician will join a 5-physician division providing care to a population of 1.3 million people in 29 counties in eastern North Carolina. The division provides inpatient, outpatient, outreach clinic, electrophysiologic, interventional catheterization, and limited surgical support for the pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patient. Outpatient pediatric/adult congenital cardiac services are provided at East Carolina Heart Institute at East Carolina University as well as at 9 outreach clinic sites. Inpatient pediatric/adult congenital cardiac services are provided at the 142 bed Children's Hospital of Eastern North Carolina as well as at the 120 bed East Carolina Heart Institute at East Carolina Health Medical Center.
