Smith & Vansant Architects PC is a small, friendly, design-oriented firm. Our practice focuses primarily on highly custom residential work, as well as a smattering of small institutional, commercial, and community projects. We have a strong commitment to sustainable building practices. We are seeking for an individual with a compatible design sensibility and strong organizational expertise who enjoys a collaborative working process. Our immediate need is for a well-rounded individual with strong Revit expertise who can contribute effectively, working as part of a team, in the development of drawing sets. This position is in-person, owing to the collaborative nature of our work and the importance of direct communication. We envision this being a long-term position with potential for increasing responsibility over time - from conceptual design to construction administration and project management. Seeking candidates with: » B.Arch or M.Arch degree. » 2 - 5 years of practice in a similar function, ideally. » Proficiency in Revit. practice with Vectorworks, SketchUp, Enscape, MS and Adobe software suites would be a plus. » Strong design, visualization, and presentation expertise. » Articulate and professional communication expertise, collaboration and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail is essential. » expertise of wood-frame construction techniques, residential design, sustainable design practices, ADA, and building codes is preferred.
