Position DescriptionFundraising and Development» Design, supervise, and implement continuing fundraising and giving opportunities. » Cultivate relations with donors and work with them to innovate and customize criteria specific to their scholarships, major gifts, grants, and sponsorships while in harmony with the values and missions of the College and Foundation. » Develop, implement, and support specific giving opportunities through the Annual Gifts, Planned Giving, and Capital Gifts Programs. » Plan and coordinate donor recognition events, receptions, and other activities. Community Engagement, Public Relations and Marketing » Monitor the image of the College as portrayed through publications, graphic standards, promotions, and external communications. » Lead and supervise the creation and design of marketing materials, articles, newsletters, and advertising campaigns that will raise the profile of the College and Foundation, attract students and donors, and increase consciousness of giving opportunities. » Represent the College and Foundation through select civic engagement opportunities. » Coordinate the Faculty Chair selection committee, the Chair presentation and reception; and supervises the funding for this award. » Develop the nomination packet for the college's candidate for the annual Excellence in Teaching Award sponsored by the State Board of Community Colleges. » Coordinate with other departments on the release of emergency notification information as needed. Strategic Planning and Reporting » Contribute to the college's strategic planning process by providing insights on advancement-related goals. » Work collaboratively and strategically with internal and external stakeholders to plan, develop, and maintain a college-wide marketing and advertising campaign. » Prepare regular reports on fundraising, engagements, and public relations efforts. » Evaluate the effectiveness of advancement initiatives and adjust as needed. » Prepare Foundation Board meeting agendas and support materials. » Recommend updates to significant College and Foundation policies and procedures. » Stay current on trends, training, fundraising ideas, and prospective funding sources. » Work directly with the college president on special projects and branding efforts. Stewardship » Recognize donors, ensuring they feel appreciated and connected to the college. » Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions. » Implement stewardship practices that encourage long-term philanthropic support. » Develop and adhere to an annual Foundation operating budget. » Manage Foundation assets as a member of the Foundation's Investment Committee. Management » Manage operations of the Foundation and IA office, including staff. » Prepare for the annual audit, tax filings and all 501(c)(3) compliance obligations. » Ensure that files are securely stored to maintain privacy and confidentiality. » Support timely communications with the Foundation, College, and donors. » Serve as a standing member of the President's Cabinet and College Council; and as a member of other college committees as assigned. » Complete special projects assigned by the college president and other related tasks incidental to the work described herein.
