Science History Institute

The Science History Institute is recruiting for the full-time position of Maintenance Technician for its Philadelphia office. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Director with providing maintenance support, including preventative mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance; exterior maintenance (to include snow removal); landscaping; and other activities as needed. This position requires the candidate to work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
The ideal candidate will possess the following Appropriate qualifications:
   » Minimum of three years of commercial building maintenance practice
   » Electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge is required; electrical licensure/certification a plus
   » Must have familiarity of BAS controls system (Automated Logic-Webctrl)
   » capability/knowledge to troubleshoot fire and security systems
   » Must be friendly and customer-service focused
   » Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Outlook and Word
   » High school diploma or GED
   » Must have own hand tools
