Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill a one part-time (a maximum of 24 hrs per week) positions at Oregon State University Cascades (OSU-Cascades). This position is located in Bend, OR. Discapability Access Services (DAS) facilitates access to University programs and services for qualified students with disabilities through accommodations, education, consultation, and advocacy. DAS supports students through various transition practices within OSU, supports students' learning, self-empowerment and ultimately graduation. Position tasks A Testing Proctor at Discapability Access Services provides exam oversight for students receiving alternative testing accommodations in the DAS Testing Center. A proctor assists in ensuring the Center upholds academic integrity and students have the necessary assistive technology present for exams. The recruitment process will be used to fill one part-time positions. -Follow DAS Testing Center policies and procedures. -Greet students/staff in Testing Center. -Administer exams per instructor-specific instructions. -Verify the identity of each student by checking photo ID prior to each exam. -Set up assistive technology as needed. -Maintain confidentiality and uphold exam integrity. -Work one-on-one with students as a scribe or reader. -Monitor the testing environment. -Perform cleaning of testing spaces, computer monitors, keyboards, headsets, etc. -Filing paperwork as needed. -Navigate campus to pick up/drop off exam materials as needed. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. -Effective oral/written communication -capability to follow directions -capability to maintain a dependable work schedule -capability to maintain confidentiality -Non-judgment and inclusivity Preferred (Special) Qualifications Working Conditions / Work Schedule DAS Testing Proctors are expected to work 5-10 hours a week and may work up to 15 hours a week located on testing needs for DAS Alternative Testing Services. Work hours may rang from 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Testing Proctors are expected to work during Midterms and Finals week. DAS is in need of a proctor with availcapability on Tuesdays and Thursdays, especially in the afternoon.
