Minimum QualificationsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related engineering discipline Two years of progressive practice in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or Mechanical Design environment Computer expertise using basic functions of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Unofficial transcripts must be attached with your online application prior to submission or submitted to Human Resources immediately upon completing the application. Preferred QualificationsPreferences:Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related engineering discipline One year of instructional/teaching practice at the post-secondary level Blackboard practice practice with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo
Position DescriptionThis position is responsible for providing effective instruction for assigned courses.Responsibilities and tasks (*Essential Functions) to execute this job prosperously, an individual must be able to execute the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to execute the primary job functions herein described. *Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner *Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance *Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour *Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment *Grades and returns student work in a timely manner *Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction Maintains regular office hours Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching Serves on college or department committees when needed Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course, selecting text, and constructing a syllabus Remains up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology Attends professional development opportunities Participates in graduation exercises Qualifications Knowledge, expertise & Abilities: Able to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning Be innovative, creative, motivated capability to exhibit good interpersonal expertise and work well with others Able to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently Good organizational expertise Solid knowledge of engineering and design principles
