Primary Purpose of Department Advancement Operations supports the mission, goals, and efforts of University Development, Alumni Affairs, Constituent Relations, Community Affairs, and University Communications. We are the thought leaders for automation and technology integration for the Division of University Advancement.

University Advancement Operations is also home to Business Services, Data Services, Donor Relations, Gift Processing, and Prospect Strategy and Research.

Primary Purpose of Position This position serves as the Divisional Director of Finance and HR for University Advancement - with in-depth expertise of all State and University programs, processes and procedures that apply to University Advancement, as well as, all departments within the division. This position supervises all operations and services connected with finance and HR including: strategic planning; budget management; and income management.

Summary of Position Responsibilities
   » HR Management - position creation, position modification, liaison with University HR, income management
   » Budget Management - supervises the business agent, business services coordinator in budget management, lapse income management as well as building management
Minimum Education/practice
   » Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years practice or an
   » Equivalent education and practice
   » Human Resources practice, including expertise of policies, procedures, and software.
Preferred Education, expertise, expertise and practice
   » Masters Degree
   » Budget and funds management practice with various types of funds: general funds, institutional trust funds, receipt-located funds, and discretionary funds.
   » Comprehensive practice and expertise of accounting and budgeting practices, and capability to provide budgetary planning, forecasting, and presentation for personnel management
   » practice in audit, compliance, project management, and financial management is preferred.
   » Excellent written and verbal communication expertise.
   » Strong problem-solving and analytical expertise.
   » Excellent computer expertise including proficiency with Banner, Microsoft Office Suite, in particular, Excel at an intermediate level, and Google Suite.
   » Strong organizational expertise.
   » capability to work under pressure of deadlines.
   » Use of independent judgment and self-directed organization/work prioritization.
   » Higher education practice is preferred.
