Our A&D team is responsible for managing Weyerhaeuser’s industry-leading portfolio of assets, including strategy development, asset valuation and execution of value-accretive transactions. Together, our team partners across Weyerhaeuser’s Timberlands, Real Estate, Energy & Natural Resources, Natural Climate Solutions and Wood Products businesses to optimize capital and deliver the most value from every acre of our 11-million-acre portfolio. The A&D team is strengthened by diverse perspectives from backgrounds in forestry operations, marketing, economics, corporate finance, investment banking, geospatial analysis, and real estate. This is a unique opportunity to join a dedicated team of industry professionals with demonstrated success in end-to-end portfolio management of a world-class timber and forest products portfolio including executing over $1.8 billion in transactions over the last three years that have increased cash flows and total portfolio value and deploying $1 billion in disciplined investments to grow the value of our timber holdings through 2025. The Senior Manager, A&D brings a mix of transactional practice, forest products business acumen and a passion for working among a high-performance team to execute prosperous transactions that upgrade the portfolio and optimize return on assets. The prosperous candidate is a self-starter who creates and maintains strong internal and external relationships and is energized by solving diverse challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with exposure to senior leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities » Partner with cross-business and cross-functional teams to evaluate the portfolio across all US regions and identify and evaluate acquisition and divestiture candidates consistent with portfolio strategy. » Lead acquisition and divestiture transactions through arranging and superviseing due diligence and underwriting activities, including: assessing property data; researching operational considerations and legal encumbrances; designing and coordinating physical and legal due diligence, and supporting closing and post-closing procedures. » Build and cultivate strong relationships across an external network of trading partners, consultants, service providers and other transaction stakeholders. » Cultivate strong internal relationships to lead highly effective cross functional teams and deliver on project timelines. » Engage with third party transactions service providers, including negotiating related contracts. » Monitor the industrial timberland market and analyze comparable sales and market trends in strategic timber markets. » Develop and present recommendations to A&D team leadership abilities. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
