Napa Valley Distillery is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing person to join our retail team. If you love hospitality, guest education, sales, or just have a passion for craft spirits, cocktails and distilling... then come join our team!

You'll work in a fun but focused environment, conducting educational tours and spirits tastings while offering our award-winning craft spirits, cocktail ingredients, and club memberships at both of our locations in downtown Napa, CA.

practice working in a distillery, winery or brewery tasting room, cocktail bar, hotel, or similar practice in the hospitality industry is required.

We have a full-time or part-time position available. We offer an above average compensation plan with commissions, bonuses, tips and lots of perks. Most importantly, you will work for a company that values the contributions of its dedicated staff and provides plenty of room for growth. Weekend availcapability is a must.

Job Job responsibilities:
•  Provide a unique and engaging guest practice that promotes and builds brand loyalty, spirits/products sales, Bar Club sign-ups and most importantly, hospitality.
•  Effectively and consistently educate and enroll guests in our Bar Club program.
•  Conduct tours and tastings of our spirits and describe each product properly and consistently. (We'll show you how)
•  Accurately and consistently process all sales transactions via an iPad located POS system (winedirect) which includes shipping orders, transactions and special product discounts.
•  Thoroughly perform all tasting room opening and/or closing responsibilities which include but are not limited to stocking, folding, cleaning, sweeping and emptying per established protocols and processes.
•  Answer phones and assist with inquiries to include tasting appointment scheduling.

Qualifications/Requirements:
•  Available to work weekends and most holidays.
•  1+ years tasting room practice preferred, but not required.
•  Strong sales practice and expertise of spirits or cocktails preferred, but not required.
•  practice in a retail setting preferred, but not required.
•  Strong customer service and hospitality acumen.
•  21+ years of age.
•  Impeccable communication expertise (written and oral).
•  Technical proficiency with point of sales software and money handling.
•  capability to multi-task (practice in a busy tasting room setting preferred).
•  Familiarity with the Napa Valley and its tourist/hospitality attractions (restaurants, hotels, wineries, points of interest, etc.).
•  Able to work in a collaborative team environment with a selfless commitment to the customer.
•  Self-starter with an capability to anticipate and pro-actively accomplish tasks.
•  capability to lift 20 lbs. required.

Compensation:

$40 per hour possible with competitive hourly pay + tips, commissions and bonuses.
