Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) OSU GO - Office adjunct to the Director position at Oregon State University (OSU).

In order to meet our goal of providing life-changing international practices for our students, OSU Global Opportunities relies on dedicated and talented student employee as part of our team. Student Administrative adjuncts partner with OSU GO staff members to execute critical work that is essential to the running of a dynamic and busy study abroad office. Students can expect to develop strong professional skills including networking, presentation, information and project management.
This is a great position for a student who has strong organizational and communication skills, and either practice in or aptitude for administrative work. Position tasks Position tasks:
70% Support of Director:
   » Calendar and coordinate meetings for Director with internal and external stakeholders.
   » Schedule group meetings and internationally-focused workshops and take care of event logistics (room bookings, catering, outreach, etc.).
   » Develop and circulate meeting agendas and minutes and supporting materials.
   » Assist with travel arrangements for Director and/or visiting colleagues, and prepare and submit expense reports.
   » Coordinate student focus groups, gather data and help to analyze results.
   » Create presentations such as PowerPoint for a variety of events.

20% General Administrative tasks:
   » Update website content, check links and troubleshoot problems.
   » Create web content under direction of Marketing/Outreach Staff.
   » Electronic file management and data entry, photocopying, scanning, uploading electronic documents.
   » Communicate with students as needed, and with guidance from manager/OSU GO staff.

10% Support Inbound Exchange Students:
   » Support welcome activities for incoming international exchange students.
   » Populate FaceBook page for inbound exchange students.
   » Develop and maintain PowerPoint presentations, information handouts and other materials for outreach.
   » Administer surveys and compile results.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

   » Students must be available 10-15 hours/week, during the academic year, and occasionally on weekends.
   » Excellent interpersonal communication skills and availability to be part of a team
   » High degree of numeracy and accuracy in handling financial processes and data management
   » practice with Excel and/or Adobe Creative Suite Previous clerical or outreach practice practice of and/or enthusiasm for international/intercultural practices
   » Strong attention to detail and capability to adhere to step-by-step instructions
   » Sense of integrity and confidentiality handling student documents
   » capability to manage own work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
   » capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and seek direction when needed
   » capability to focus in shared office space
