The Pennsylvania Horticultural Societyincome Range:$55,000.00 To 58,000.00 Annuallylisting title:LandCare Contracts and Compliance Manager Department:Healthy Neighborhoods Reports To:Director of LandCare Position Summary: ThePennsylvania Horticultural Society(PHS)plays an essential function in the vitality of the Philadelphia region by creating healthier living environments, increasing access to fresh food, growing economic opportunity, and building deeper social connections between people.The LandCare Team achieves these goals through comprehensive greening initiatives across over 250 neighborhoods, and the newly created LandCare Contracts and Compliance Manager function will be essential in ensuring grant compliance and providing operational and support to maximize the impact of our LandCare programs. Essential Functions: Grant Compliance: Collaborate with the Director of LandCare and development team in grant proposal development and submission processes. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of grant guidelines and requirements and advise program staff on implementation strategies. supervise grant budgets and track progress towards grant results and goals. Monitor grant reporting schedules and requirements to ensure timely submissions, and draft comprehensive progress reports and program updates for funders, compiling necessary supporting materials, including budget reports, outcome measurements, and success stories. Operational Support: Liase with team members to fulfill bidding and procurement needs aligned with grant opportunities. Work closely with finance to develop budget tracking systems, manage budgets, and reforecast as necessary. Participate in annual budgeting processes to ensure fiscal responsibility Coordinate with Marketing and Communications team to showcase partner investments through various channels (e.g., blog posts, social media, press releases). Education, practice, and expertise Required: Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work practice. Minimum of 3 years of significant work practice in grant management or administrative functions. expertise and Abilities: Strong organizational expertise and attention to detail. Strong proficiency in Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication expertise for diverse audiences. practice with budget management and financial tracking. Familiarity with grant compliance and reporting requirements. capability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including field staff, finance, and community partners. Strong problem-solving expertise and a proactive approach to challenges. Physical Demands: capability to work in an office environment and conduct occasional site visits as needed. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in varied weather conditions during field visits. Standard Hours: 40 hours/week, with some evening and weekend events as necessary. This is a full-time year-round position. Additional Job responsibilities: Participate in PHS events all over the year, including annual fundraising events and the Philadelphia International Flower Show.
