Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Web Developer Intern for the Office of Prov and Exec V Pres at Oregon State University (OSU).

Position tasks The student web developer intern will perform the following tasks:
•Web programming using Drupal, CSS, JavaScript, HTML
•Website development and design using Drupal template, including: improving look, design and user practice
•Programming requiring work outside for Drupal, for example, on Github and a text editor (e.g. Atom)
•UX testing to maximize efficiency of website on multiple user devices
•Uploading photos, video, and graphics to website, including editing and resizing photos and graphics for multiple user platforms
•Editing and proofreading website content
•Documenting best practices
•Approach works as a start-up business; brainstorm needs to help Impact Studio grow overall.
•Other tasks as assigned and as opportunities present themselves.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Additional Required Qualifications Junior-level students or above with significant academic background and practice in web development.
· Web programming (CSS, JavaScript, HTML)
· Familiarity with development of mobile web pages
· practice with GitHub or other software version management tools
•Excellent written and oral communication expertise
•Excellent computer expertise which augment and support the efforts and tasks of position, such as spreadsheets and databases
•Effective time management expertise; attention to detail; and capability to take creative direction from others
•capability to lgain quickly and work independently with high initiative
•Possesses a logic-driven mindset
•Driven to lgain and improve
•practice with multitasking and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments

Preferred (Special) Qualifications One advanced programming language such as Object-oriented PHP, Python, C++, or jQuery
•UX testing and design
•practice with website design and/or working within Drupal, or Drupal templates provided by OSU
•A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
•practice or interest working collaborative and designing in a collaborative environment
•practice with backend web development and using APIs
•capability to communicate creative concepts and ideas in a clear manner
•Up to date with current web design best practices and trends
