Currently on the boards: residential retro-fits and enlargements, ground-up, mixed-use, and Passive House projects. If you have significant practice and are looking to grow with a boutique design-forward practice, please keep reading. You’d be a great fit if you: » Are eligible to work in the United States » Are/will be located in the larger NYC metro region. This position is work from office, and occasional site visits will be assumed. We’re committed to hiring qualified designers who are located locally. » Hold a BA or MA degree in Architecture, with interest and professional practice in interiors. » Have a MINIMUM 3 years of proven professional practice in an interior design and/or architecture office that also does interiors. » Are someone who is looking to contribute as well as to grow and learn. » Are interested in all aspects of design, construction administration, and project management. » Push for design-forward solutions » Pay attention to details (and care about details) » Have design and technical expertise required to assist in all phases of design » Are comfortable working on two or three projects/scales simultaneously » Want to work under a Registered Architect (NCARB AXP etc. hours earned) » Have significant working practice in NYC » Take satisfaction in seeing projects get built » Enjoy learning, and enjoy learning from your mistakes » Are self-motivated and eager to creatively solve design challenges » Are proactive in keeping your digital files well organized » Feel comfortable in a young and dynamic practice (what this really means is taking initiative, being a self-starter and sometimes being OK with things like troubleshooting the printer because there is no corporate Information technology department!) » Proficiency with industry software. » Know Revit, or be committed to learning Information technology Annual salaries offered will be commensurate with practice, and located on qualifications.
