Purpose: To provide counseling to an art student population

Position Details: This is a full-time, 10-month position, Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. There will be one weekend per month when this position will be required to be on-call. This position is fully in-person.

Requirements:
   » Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as either a psychologist (Ph.D.or Psy.D.), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
   » Commitment to providing group counseling (psychoeducational/expertise, support, andtherapy groups).
   » practice conducting outreach programming, presentations, training, and/or workshopssignificant to college students.
   » Demonstrated capability to interact effectively with persons of diverse backgrounds .

Preferred Appropriate qualifications:
   » A minimum of 2 years of work practice working with college-age students.
   » Seeking candidates who have worked collaboratively in fostering the success of underrepresented groups and a supportive and inclusive environment for all. prosperous candidates will be committed to Diversity, Equity Inclusion, and Access (DEIA) and integrate this lens into their work.
   » practice with Titanium record-keeping software.

Job responsibilities:
   » Counsel students in individual sessions.
   » Facilitate group therapy sessions.
   » Conduct preventative and psycho-educational programming.
   » Meet with members of Student Affairs and Academic Services staff to assess student problems and recommend interventions, when appropriate.
   » Serve as a liaison with outside psychiatrists and therapists, when significant.
   » Participate in on-call duty responsibilities approximately one weekend a month during the academic year.
   » Work with the Dean of Students to take appropriate action when students have more serious mental health issues.
   » Maintain usage data for Student Affairs annual report.
   » Other tasks as assigned

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Being available for emergency calls and scheduling extra sessions for students beyond normal counseling hours when deemed necessary by the Dean of Students.
