Additional Position Information: The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) at the University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music is a collaborative, highly organized, skilled communicator who strives to expand the School's reach into the community and share music to all populations. superviseing the year-round administrative and managery functions for Summer at the Scheidt and the Scheidt Music Extension Program, the CEC brings an knowledge of the arts community in Memphis and is able to work closely with faculty, staff, students, community partners, and guest artists. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the CEC will take an active function in the research, identification, development, and implementation of marketing and promotional campaigns for the School of Music and the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center (SFPAC) helping to elevate consciousness of programming within the region. this function requires a versatile skill set, encompassing graphic design, social media management, website maintenance, and newsletter creation.

tasks & Job responsibilities: · Manage year-round administrative and managery responsibilities for Summer at the Scheidt and the Scheidt Music Extension Program.
· Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the Scheidt Music Extension Program, encompassing workshops, recitals, and staff and consumer management. Additionally, offer hands-on support during in-person events as required.
· Ensure smooth operation and execution of community engagement initiatives.
· Manage Summer at the Scheidt and the Scheidt Music Extension registration and enrollment data to document, and report programmatic impact.
· Work with the School of Music director and business agent to manage programmatic budget, risks, including the development of policies to reduce organizational risks related to finance, safety, labor relations, and other related functions.
Review collected program feedback and make needed adjustments to ensure programs and services meet the needs of a diverse community.

tasks & Job responsibilities: · Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the arts community in Memphis.
· Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, community partners, and guest artists to develop innovative community engagement programs.
· Support, manage, or coordinate on/off campus special events and activities as appropriate to raise the profile of the School of Music, Scheidt Music Extension Program, Summer at the Scheidt and the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center.
· Serve as a representative of the School of Music during community engagement events, effectively advocating for the School and showcasing its diverse range of programs to stakeholders.

tasks & Job responsibilities: · As directed, develop, plan, and execute marketing campaigns for events, activities, and programming at Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center, Summer at the Scheidt and Scheidt Music Extension Program.
· Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to research, identify, develop, and implement marketing and promotional campaigns.
· Write remarks, talking points, news releases, social media posts, and editorial content. Distribute and create approved content to appropriate outlets, and organizations.
· Manage general SFPAC marketing calendar including show announcements, ticket on sales, social media campaigns, communications, project/design due dates, and more.
· Work with rental clients and the SFPAC team to write, advise, and educate on content for social media platforms and the related SFPAC website as needed.
· Work with the SFPAC to track tickets sales, participation, and audience metrics for events and other key institutional events to monitor public relations efforts and to identify opportunities.
