Offer: Broadcast Maintenance Technician:WXXI Public BroadcastingJob description: Broadcast Maintenance Technician Listing description POSITION: Broadcast Maintenance Technician CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Nonexempt DIVISION: Technology & Operations REPORTS TO: Chief Engineer PAY: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour (Commensurate with practice) tasks: » Work as part of the TOPS Department Maintenance staff on facility repairs, upgrades and installations. Major projects may require overnight availcapability to meet off-air maintenance demands. » Assist in the design, building, and documentation of new systems as well as modification of existing systems to meet new requirements. » Assist on live broadcast remotes and local television productions. » Perform routine preventative maintenance and complete maintenance reports for the purpose of quality control. » Maintain compliance with all FCC, OSHA, and company rules and regulations. » Assist with other related engineering tasks, as assigned. Appropriate qualifications: » Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and have good interpersonal/communications expertise. » practice with solid state/digital electronics and computerized systems with the capability to troubleshoot electronics equipment to the component level. » practice maintaining digital broadcast and production equipment a plus. » Working expertise of Information technology including software and hardware for Broadcast systems. » capability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
