Job tasks

tasks & Job responsibilities: Receive incoming sponsored programs awards to the University from internal emails, sponsor portal, and/or from investigators.
Review award and Cayuse proposal record for discrepancies and/or changes, identifies require additional documentation, and/or compliance issues, and communicate notice of award and documentation needs prior to account set-up to the PI.
Create/set-up awards in Cayuse and upload or transfer files to the Cayuse award module.
Create subaward/subcontract records in Cayuse; as appropriate.
Ensure full, accurate, and complete records prior to initiating transfer to Post-Award for account set-up.
Establish reminder system to ensure timely contact and follow-up as may be necessary to minimize delays in subsequent year incoming and/or outgoing awards and subcontracts.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Develops project initiation checklists for faculty regarding topics that commonly result in delays May include setting up subrecipients and contractors to receive payment in procurement and initiating advance accounts.
Assists faculty with terms and conditions and reporting requirements connected with sponsored projects; set up alert system to ensure faculty submit required reports on time.
Convenes project initiation meetings between PI, unit research staff, and/or grants accounting to ensure seamless initiation of complex sponsored projects (e.g. those with complex cost share and/or invoicing requirements) and/or projects involving first time PIs.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Assists faculty with non-financial, post award administrative activities including actions that require prior authorization, no cost extensions, carry-forward requests, annual reporting, and project closeouts, etc.
Reviews, certifies, and submits annual reports on behalf of the University required by the sponsor.
Maintains accurate and complete files and records.
Work with the development and/or update web content and training materials related to award and award initiation activities.
