Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Engineering+ First Year practice Social Media Team position for the College of Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU). The College of Engineering's Co-Curricular Team is seeking a creative student with a passion for producing engaging social media content. As a part-time social media creator (maximum of 20 hours per week), you're responsible for creating and showcasing the First-Year practice in the College of Engineering- it's your job to showcase the First-Year practice of an Oregon State Engineer. Who we're looking for: » An impeccable communicator » Someone who believes in the power of social media marketing » Caring, compassionate, collaborative individual who thrives best in a team setting » Self-starter who's not afraid to actively seek creative solutions to fascinating challenges » Produce original content for Instagram and YouTube featuring CoE students, faculty, staff, and instructors » Update the First-Year practice social media posting calendar using Microsoft Excel » Schedule social media posts in Hootsuite (no practice required) » Live-post from high-profile ENGR+ events (Career, Industry, Clubs, etc.) Position tasks » Create original First-Year practice content on Instagram - share what life is like as a first-year engineering student! » Work under the Co-Curricular Coordinator and Director of Engineering+, and with other Social Media Creators to strategize and create content for social media, especially Instagram. » Show up with big ideas and be ready to execute when we say ?go!? » Curate and share content from other OSU accounts and engineering-focused accounts » Moderate the account, responding to comments and building an online community by commenting on our OSU accounts » Organize and present content plans, calendars, analytics and areas for improvement » Moderate all user-generated content in line with University and College policies and brand » Together with the Director of ENGR+ and Co-Curricular Coordinator, capture and analyze appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then act on that information to improve engagement » Act in conformity with social media guidelines as you represent the First-Year practice » Attend ENGR+ events tailored toward students to gather content » Collaborate with photographers, videographers and design teams to maintain our College's visual brand and tell impactful Engineer stories Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
