King Estate Winery, known as a destination location in Eugene, Oregon, includes an elegant on-site tasting room, multiple guest houses and event venues in one of the state’s most beautiful settings. This is a great opportunity for a career-minded individual who thrives in hospitality and customer service and demonstrates strong business acumen.Key Appropriate qualifications: • Certified Sommelier • An energetic and positive leader who treats all staff with courtesy and respect • A commitment to the hospitality industry • Strong financial and business acumen with proven capability to supervise cost control, labor, management, and bottom line profitcapability • Capable of assuming responsibility for inventory management • practice in hiring, training and mentoring staff with the capability to lead in a high-stress environment • Enthusiasm for wine and culinary trends • capability to forecast needs for peak season practice & suitable education • Five (5) years or more of practice in wine service in a fast-paced tasting room • A minimum of five (5) years of practice in Food & Beverage cost control and labor forecasting • prosperous history in personnel management • Strong wine expertise. Sommelier certification or WSET preferred but not required • Computer expertise including Revel, Tock, Gather, POS software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) highly preferred • capability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required • Strong interpersonal expertise including the capability to relate to associates across all levels of the organization • capability to manage multiple projects with a thorough focus on detail • Must exhibit the highest level of professionalism in dealing with sensitive and confidential information • Demonstrated leadership abilities, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities • practice effectively managing staff, schedules, budgets and business practices • Event coordination practice: planning, organizing, scheduling and staffing income commensurate with practice and qualifications and includes full company benefits.
