Posting DetailsPosting InformationPosting Number: FAE1839 Advertised Title: adjunct/Associate Professor Teaching (Lambuth Campus) Campus Job location: Lambuth Campus (Jackson, TN) Position Number: 016533 Job Category: Full-Time Faculty Department: Biology Position Summary: The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Memphis-Lambuth invites applications for two non-tenure-track adjunct or Associate Professors of Teaching positions, beginning in Spring 2025. We are pursuing one candidate specializing in cell/molecular biology and another specializing in microbiology. The prosperous candidate for the cell/molecular biology position will be expected to teach core courses in cell biology, genetics (lecture and lab), and other related undergraduate electives. The prosperous candidate for the microbiology position will be expected to teach microbiology and other related undergraduate electives, including microbiology labs. For both positions, a demonstrated capability to integrate innovative pedagogical methods is highly desirable. These are one-year, non-tenure-track appointments, renewable annually for up to three years. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in an appropriate biological discipline. Prior teaching practice at the college level in the significant fields is preferred. Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2024.
