Summary
This position is focused on guest satisfaction, selling wine, and signing up new club members. This position also assists in ensuring the timely completion of the everyday activities of the tasting room. The Lead Associate sets the standard for the entire Associate team by providing above-and-beyond customer service to all guests through exemplary hospitality.

Essential tasks
1. Executes service through the lens of Fanatical Hospitality and a culture of “Yes” to reach the sales and club sign-up goals of the Tasting Room.
2. Complements other Associates’ activity by assisting with POS transactions, implementing policies and procedures, opening/closing tasks, and the overall completion of the tasting room’s day-to-day activities.
3. Provides Associates with on-the-spot training and acts as a function model for fanatical sales, service, hospitality, and professionalism.

Job tasks
•  Exceeds sales and club sign-up goals.
•  Is a function model and inspirational leader-by-example to other staff members in sales, service, professionalism, and work ethic.
•  Assists and educates guests and other staff members on wines, wine club benefits, company history and culture, regional information, etc.
•  Collects, inputs, and updates guest data properly and in a timely manner using TOCK and WineDirect best practices.
•  Assists in training and developing incoming and current Associate team members.
•  Monitors reservation system and assists in plotting the reservations for the shift, knows when and where we can accommodate walk-ins in order to maximize covers for the shift while always striving to maintain a positive guest practice.
•  Takes initiative to do continuing side tasks all over the shift, as well as swiftly and thoroughly completing opening and closing tasks.
•  Is capable and eager to work in a variety of spaces and settings.
•  Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
•  Demonstrates a passion for detail and a availability to learn.
•  Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
•  Maintains upbeat, even-keeled attitude and composure.
•  Collaborates with other shift leads and respectfully takes direction from Tasting Room Manager(s).
•  Performs other tasks as assigned by the Tasting Room Manager(s)

managery Responsibilities
This position has no direct managery responsibilities but serves as a function model for the Associate team and assists other Leads and Tasting Room Managers in everyday activity.

Education & practice
High school diploma or GED and/or training or equivalent combination of education and practice. A minimum of three-to-five-year prior employment in a high-volume tasting room environment is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations
Licenses: Valid, current OLCC license. Valid, current Oregon Food Handler’s card.

Travel Requirement
This position requires occasional, same day, regional travel.

Language expertise

Mathematical expertise

Has advanced basic computer job expertise including logging on to systems, capability to communicate by email, capability to compose documents, enter database information, create presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.
