Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time position (a maximum of 10 hours per week) with OregonFlora in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University (OSU). We are pursuing an undergraduate interested in plants to join our team (see https://oregonflora.org) to create and share resources about the plants that grow across Oregon. Your work will become part of the oregonflora.org website and assist in the publication of the Flora of Oregon-resources for botanists, ecologists, gardeners, and native plant-lovers of all types. In this position, you will gather and organize plant information for use in our website tools; evaluate plant characteristics using herbarium specimens and online resources; and enter and extract information from the OregonFlora database. You'll lgain about the amazing plant diversity of our state, become familiar with botanical terms and plant classification, gain databasing expertise, and use the OSU Herbarium-the world's largest collection of preserved Oregon plant specimens.
