Advises students on the selection of courses appropriate to their degree progress. Uses Navigate, UMDegree and Banner to advise students. Uses a university approved software (currently Navigate) for appointment availcapability, leaves appointment summary and notes. Uses the Undergraduate catalog in conjunction with appropriate university software (currently UMDegree) for advising, General Ed petitions, requests corrections to student's degree audit. Uses the Plan feature for upcoming semester's courses and clears alternate pin enabling registration. Keeps current notes on appointments in Navigate and essential information in UMDegree. Refers students to appropriate office for the removal of registration holds, readmission and others. tasks & Job responsibilities: Assists with department participation in on-campus recruitment efforts. Extended days and weekends are required. tasks & Job responsibilities: Develops and maintains current records on students by keeping the student's UMDegree, department spreadsheets updated for students within the advisor's alpha category. Checks student registrations for current semester graduation, resolves issues regarding graduation and registration.
