Packaging operations include Sparkling Wine Bottling and Disgorging, Still Wine Bottling, Canning, and Bag-in-Box. This is an opportunity to join a talented team with a lot of growth ahead of us.We are pursuing practiced operators and leaders with years of practice in wine bottling and packaging to complement our practiced team. Candidate should bring years of practice and expertise of bottling operations although we are open to helping the right candidate with less practice in certain areas to grow into the function. Summary The operator position is responsible for operating Sparkling Disgorging, Bottling, Canning, and Bag-in-Box equipment by performing the following tasks. Job tasks Operate Sparkling Disgorging Line, Still Bottling Line, Canning, or Bag-in-Box equipment while consistently applying best practices. Perform startup and shutdown functions and accurately perform changeovers on Disgorging, Bottling, Canning, and Bag-in-Box Packaging line equipment. Will rotate between lines as needed and assist with all functions on the line as needed including but not limited to Sparkling Wine Disgorging line supporting machines and equipment. Perform routine production quality checks. Consistently perform all in-process and final production quality control and verification checks. Complete all appropriate documentation. Perform all job functions in strict adherence to company Health and Safety protocols, PPE use, quality control standards, and standard equipment operating procedures. Communicate effectively, professionally, and respectfully with others including but not limited to team members, leadership abilities, and other departments. Demonstrate a positive attitude, an capability to collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, and a desire to continuously lgain and improve. Maintain a focus on a safe and sanitary work area. Maintain good attendance and have the capability to work a flexible schedule as production goals may change. Operate with a Continuous Improvement mindset to help build a team focused on quality and efficiency. Participate in the Preventative Maintenance program. Routinely inspect and check equipment to ensure proper function. Be willing to collaborate with the team, leadership abilities, and members of other departments collaboratively and respectfully. This position reports directly to the Packaging manager. Work schedule: Monday through Friday. Overtime work as needed. Compensation: $19 to $26.00 (Greater levels of practice taken into consideration) Position Requirements: Previous practice with Sparkling Wine Bottling and Disgorging, Still Wine Bottling, Canning, and Bag-in-Box is required. Willing to do additional training for individuals with the potential to grow in this position (2+ years’ practice desired). Have a mechanical background or good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting expertise. High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred. Must be 18 years of age. capability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Able to communicate effectively. Must be capable of lifting up-to to 50 pounds intermittently. Be Willing to work up to 12-hour shifts. practice with Preventative Maintenance and general maintenance. Forklift practice a plus - will need to become forklift certified. Able to stand for prolonged periods. Basic Computer expertise, practice with HMI’s and expertise of how to use equipment screens.
