WPRA Executive adjunct:UW-Madison, Wisconsin Public MediaJob description: WPRA Executive adjunct Listing description The Executive adjunct will support and report to the Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) Chief Development agent & Executive Director of the Wisconsin Public Radio Association (WPRA). The WPRA is a not-for-profit organization with the mission of soliciting, receiving, stewarding, and allocating gifts that support Wisconsin Public Radio, a service of the UW-Madison Division of Wisconsin Public Media (WPM) and the Educational Communications Board (ECB). The WPR Development department conducts fundraising, relationship-building, and engagement activities in a collaborative environment through its multiple units: membership, major gifts, planned gifts, corporate support, and finance. The Executive adjunct will support the Director and the WPRA Board by: - Facilitating communications (in the department, across the organization, and in the community) - Managing schedules - Organizing workflows - Supporting WPR Development priorities - Generally assisting with the responsibilities of managing the department and WPRA The adjunct will handle and coordinate a variety of tasks as well as special projects at the discretion of the Director, such as: - Contributing to and coordinating all aspects of WPRA Board engagement and meetings - Assisting with special projects and events - Developing processes to improve workflow and efficiencies between WPRA, UW-Madison, ECB, and other groups - Supporting state and federal advocacy efforts - Assisting with other tasks as needed to further WPR Development and WPRA's mission The appointee must utilize a considerable amount of independent initiative and informed judgment, exercising a high level of administrative problem solving, analytical capability, communication expertise, and confidentiality to coordinate and prioritize the work of WPRA and WPR Development. This position has no permanent managery responsibilities but may at times supervise an intern. This is a hybrid position that will require on-site presence of 3 days per week in Madison, Wisconsin and statewide travel including overnight visits 2 to 3 times per year.
