The ideal candidate will have practice teaching young children's choral activities and cultivating their music consciousness and appreciation. practice in guiding children to find joy in musical expression is essential. The right candidate should have high integrity, good judgment, and enthusiasm for lifelong learning. They should also possess classroom management and communication expertise that foster self-discipline and confidence in young students. practice in Montessori settings is preferred but not required. Requirements for the position include a bachelor's degree in music or a related field, practice teaching music to children in a fun and engaging way, patience, enthusiasm, classroom management expertise, and a positive approach to student behavior. Most essential is a passion for inspiring a love of music in children. Greenville Montessori School is a 42-year-old, non-profit, independent school. This is a 10-month, part-time position. Teaching time would include five weekly classes from Pre-K/Kindergarten through Grade 4. The Pre- K/Kindergarten classes occur during morning hours, Classes for Grades 1 through 4 are ideally held in afternoon hours. Compensation is $22 per hour with paid class rep time.
