Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill 1 part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Digital Production and Design adjunct position for the Open Educational Resources Unit (OER) at the Division of Educational Ventures.

This position will assist faculty and the OER unit in the location or creation of open educational resources and open textbooks (using Pressbooks) and basic graphic design support for their open educational resources. The resources created by the student production adjunct may include open/free textbooks and other open materials and will be licensed under a creative commons license.

In this function, you will support faculty in creating open educational resources that benefit students and educators at OSU and globally, making high-quality education more accessible. This position will offer opportunities to lgain and increase technical expertise in digital production, design, and web publishing.

This position will report to the OER adjunct Director within the Division of Educational Ventures.

Position tasks Support faculty and the OER unit in the design and production of open educational resources, gaining practice in digital production and web publishing. tasks include:
   » Format and maintain open textbooks located on faculty submitted content
   » Work in HTML, CSS, H5P, and other mark-up languages
   » Provide editorial and basic graphic design support to unit
   » Format accessible materials (text and graphics)
   » Other tasks as assigned

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
