Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $17.00 (Standard); $16.50 (Non-Urban); $18.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one to two part-time (8-15 hours per week, with the option of work up to 24 hours depending on other student employees' schedules) Student Office adjunct position(s) in the department of Agricultural Education and Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU). The person in this position will cover the front desk, responding to walk-in, telephone, and email inquiries. The person in this position will perform general office tasks including sorting and distributing mail, data entry, inventory, and cleaning the office space. Other tasks include helping students schedule advising appointments and working on short and long term projects for the department. Position tasks 40% Receptionist tasks » Covers the front desk, greets visitors, responds to visitor inquiries in-person and via phone and email » Helps students schedule advising appointments 40% everyday Office Tasks » Sorts and distributes mail » Cleans and tidies lobby and public office spaces, including taking out recycling and consolidating trash bags » Organizes paperwork and keeps track of office supply inventory » Scans documents and makes copies » Other assigned everyday office tasks as needed 20% Data Entry/Projects » Tracks appointments and other data in spreadsheets » Other data entry projects » Special projects as assigned Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications » Available to work fall 2024 - spring 2025, with the option to continue to work for the office the next academic year if still a student » Must be able to work at least 8 hours per week during times the office is open.
