Position Summary
   » This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) SEE Communications adjunct position at Oregon State University (OSU).
   » The Communications adjunct will have the opportunity to help current and perspective students find community at OSU. Many students aren't aware of the many amazing programs within SEE at OSU.
   » SEE departments provide a broad range of opportunities, including cultural programming, volunteer activities, clubs and organizations, leadership abilities development, and student media.
   » The Communications adjunct will develop expertise in:
   » Creative Thinking - learning to think creatively to come up with new ideas for content and events.
   » Data analyzation - reading basic data and patterns from websites and social media.
   » Organization and time management- handling multiple projects and tasks assigned.
   » Adaptcapability - adjusting to new challenges and environments as they come.
   » Content research and development- researching social media and marketing strategies and brainstorming how we can incorporate Information technology into Student practices and Engagement.
Position tasks
   » Website (Drupal 10) content management such as updating webpages, assuring tone and voice of content is consistent, taking pictures, and running analytics.
   » Social media management and content creation. Take pictures, film videos, write captions, create and maintain a posting calendar.
   » Attend outreach events for START, Orange and Black Days, and Beavers Open House providing informational tabling and a friendly environment.
   » Give tours of the Student practice Center and/or conduct tour trainings.
   » Create and design marketing materials such as tabling handouts, posters, and stickers.
   » Assist the Outreach & Communications Coordinator with a variety of outreach and communication tasks as assigned by SEE Operations professional staff.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Additional Required Qualifications

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications
   » practice with Canva and/or Adobe programs.
   » practice engaging with Student practices & Engagement via Clubs and Orgs, Sorority and Fraternity life, Orange Media Network, ASOSU, etc.
   » Sophomore or Junior standing
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
   » Work typically takes place indoors in an office environment.
   » The position will be asked to work some weekends and evening shifts to support outreach and engagement efforts.
   » The anticipated starting hourly wage is $15.90/hr.
   » This position will be a minimum of 15 hours and a maximum of 24 hours per week.
