Organizational Unit Overview The College of Engineering and Technology is comprised of the Departments of Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, and Technology Systems. Faculty and staff in the College provide high-quality graduate and undergraduate degree opportunities and research and service programs that enable students to achieve their career goals and that promote a strong, sustainable future for our region.

Job tasks The Department of Construction Management in the College of Engineering and Technology seeks a full-time Teaching Instructor(s) or Teaching adjunct Professor(s) on a 9-month appointment to teach and advise students beginning in January 2025. This is a fixed-term positions which is annually renewed located on satisfactory performance and availcapability of funding.

The prosperous candidate will be responsible to develop and maintain curriculum in Construction Management, mentor/advise students, perform service functions, and articulate with construction industry representatives. The position necessitates working in a team setting and making positive contributions to the Department. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected.

The Department of Construction Management currently has 14 full-time faculty members serving approximately 690 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

Minimum Education/practice Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. All degrees must be conferred by accredited institutions.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A

Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education A combination of teaching and significant industry professional practice at the project management level (preferably in the United States) of at least five years is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach undergraduate courses in BIM, Surveying, Contract, Equipment Management, Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems (MEP). candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field able to teach graduate courses will be preferably considered.
