Listing description

The Director of Sales is responsible for managing and executing sales through all channels, including direct-to-consumer, California wholesale, and out-of-state distribution. The prosperous candidate will help host direct-to-consumer tastings, conduct market visits, and develop sales programs that result in meeting established sales goals.

Position Job responsibilities:
•  Works with management to set, manage, and achieve annual sales goal and new accounts sold goal.
•  Identify and recruit distributors/brokers within named geographic areas.
•  Builds and maintains close working relationships with distributor sales teams and managers.
•  Develops and maintains close working relationships with the leading on- and off-premise accounts within each geographic region.
•  Develops and executes activities for a continuing revenue stream of wines sold through direct-to-consumer channel.
•  Hosts guests.
•  Develops and maintains effective relationships with key influencers, including tour guides, limo drivers, hospitality managers, and concierge staff.
•  Conducts market visits on a regular basis to each geographic region.
•  Conducts annual planning and review meetings with all distributors.
•  Trains distributor sales teams.
•  Prepares and manages an allocation spreadsheet for each territory.
•  Manages depletion reports for each territory.

REQUIREMENTS
•  National sales background with practice in small production, limited distribution brands.
•  practice hosting private collectors in a hospitality setting.
•  Well organized, self-motivated, with the capability to work independently.
•  Excellent communications expertise, including public speaking.
•  In possession of a high level of integrity, confidence, and the capability to forge strong professional relationships quickly.
•  Business development practice and familiarity with what Information technology takes to build a revenue stream.
•  Personality and demeanor sufficient represent the brand.
•  Must be able to travel.
•  Working expertise of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
•  Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
