Audio manager:WOUB Public MediaJob description: Audio manager Listing description The Audio manager is responsible for all audio production, post-production sound for video, live, and in-studio broadcasts. Supervise students, facilitate, and/or produce WOUB local productions for radio, television, podcasting and online, both in the field and production studios. Includes audio post-production for video projects, producing audio for local sound dramas, administering WOUB's music library, and acting as producer and/or point person for local audio content (Including but not limited to: radio content, university sports broadcasts, student radio productions, podcasting, etc.). Point of contact for external clients seeking audio services for hire.Primary job tasks include: » Work with editorial content producers to record, edit, QC and distribute all WOUB branded podcasts. (Currently nine series in full production/distribution.) » Train staff & students on audio equipment including hardware located in various studios, software utilized and through ?boot camps? for audio acquisition. Schedule trained students to cover board shifts for athletic events and other recording sessions. Students may include hourly/PACE and work study that must be interviewed, hired, trained and supervised. » Execute audio transmissions via Comrex AoIP for clients such as NPR, BBC, etc. » Direct and record voice actors for documentary voice over, audio books and narrative audio content. » Manage audio equipment and studio spaces, including scheduling for productions and staff recordings. » This position supervises multiple students in the production of audio content or delivery of radio broadcasts.
