Production, computer, and board operator expertise required. Working Conditions While performing the tasks of this job, the employee is regularly to talk, hear, walk, sit for extended periods, travel, occasionally stand, use hands to feel and hold, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and capability to adjust focus. Hearing is required. The capability to travel, both by driving and flying, is necessary. The work environment is usually an office and is usually quiet but may vary substantially if an individual is covering news events. Physical Demands Work involves standing and walking for brief periods, bending, and filing, but most tasks are from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed materials on a computer screen. Deadlines, workloads during peak periods, and changing priorities may cause increased stress levels. Work requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboards at a moderate skill level. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
