Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $19.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $20.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Landscape Maintenance Worker positions for the Faculty O&M Administration Department at Oregon State University (OSU). Assist in routine grounds maintenance tasks and repairs of campus landscaping. Work up to 20 hours per week on weekdays during the school term and up to 40 hours per week during academic breaks including summer. Position tasks » Perform landscape maintenance activities including: pruning, weeding, mulching, mowing, planting, pavement cleaning, leaf removal, litter removal, manual watering, and snow removal. » Operate power equipment such as mowers, weed-eaters, back-pack blowers. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications » Teamwork, strong communication expertise, and capability to work independently. » Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather, stand for long periods of time, and able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
