Yes Job Summary Financial Strategic Services is seeking a Financial Strategic Partner (FSP). This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. The Financial Strategic Partner (FSP) works closely with college leadership abilities to help advance the mission of the college and to promote proper stewardship of the university's financial resources. The FSP serves the university by acting as the college's key business partner for financial strategy and analysis. With an knowledge of industry best practices and a broad knowledge base of university and college operations, the FSP anticipates the need for specific information and proactively collects and analyzes unit, college and university data to ensure that college leadership abilities has timely and accurate data to inform decision making. To protect university resources and reputation, the FSP uses knowledge of significant policies and regulations to advise leadership abilities and ensure appropriate internal controls. This position combines acute business acumen and data literacy with knowledge of university systems, policies, processes, and organizational structure related to business and financial services to provide consultation to college leadership abilities. The position has detailed knowledge of college operations and personnel, working closely with administrators and support staff to stay informed of pending personnel actions and other activities that will impact college financial resources. The FSP serves as a regular contributing member of the college leadership abilities team and shares responsibility for the work and activities of that group, including providing fiscal and financial counsel to the Dean. The FSP collaborates with internal and external business partners and stakeholders in an effort to support college and university strategic priorities. The position reports to the Director of Financial Strategic Services, collaborates with other FSPs serving other units, and acts as a liaison between the college and the Division of Finance and Administration as well as other university partners. The FSP coordinates the administration of the college's annual budget development process as well as superviseing budget activities all over the year, including quarterly projections and other reporting requirements of the Division of Finance and Administration and the Office of the Provost. The FSP ensures alignment between college budget allocations and strategic priorities, identifying areas where there may be misalignment. The position analyzes and advises college leadership abilities of the budgetary impacts of proposed programmatic or policy changes, both internal and external to the college. The FSP provides revenue modeling and financial projections located on enrollment trends, tuition rate changes, grant activity, fundraising and other revenue sources. This position identifies gaps and provides or facilitates appropriate financial training for college leadership abilities and other college administrators. The FSP works independently but uses collaborative decision making, available metrics, and performance indicators to support the college's financial and business requirements. Why OSU?
