Woodmere Art Museumadjunct REGISTRAREmployment Type: Full-time Woodmere Art Museum seeks an adjunct Registrar to execute the day-to-day tasks required for collections management, exhibition logistics, and special projects as needed for the Museum's Curatorial Department. The adjunct Registrar reports to the Registrar and assists the Deputy Director of Exhibitions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collections Management: » Perform collections management tasks for current and new acquisitions - object cataloging, condition reports, inventories, and deaccessioning. » Responsible for collections management data system entries and reporting for accessions, object record updates, and deaccessions. » Assist the Registrar & Deputy Director of Exhibitions with Curatorial Department projects. » Coordinate photography and upload images to the Museum's digital asset management platform for the permanent collection and incoming loans. » Assist in preparing artwork for outgoing loans including condition reports and packing as needed. » Participate in the organization of onsite collection storage. » Other tasks as assigned. Exhibitions: » Assist the Registrar with new exhibitions - coordinate logistics of incoming loans with lenders, arrange transportation, prepare loan agreements, verify insurance paperwork, coordinate catalog images, complete condition reports. » Other tasks as assigned. Requirements: » Bachelor's degree in art history, museum studies, or related field. » Minimum of 4 years of collections management practice. » Working expertise of ethics and professional practices governing museum registration, proper art handling techniques, basic preventative conservation methods, fine art packing and shipping standards, and practice with condition reporting required. » Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. » Communicate and work with all levels of constituents effectively. » Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collections management systems. » capability to work occasional evenings and weekends. .Woodmere Art Museum values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity to all persons, regardless of age, color, discapability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, and any other status protected by law.
