Primary Purpose of Position The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for technological innovation and leadership abilities for all Parking and Transportation Services (PaTS) hardware software and integrations between university data sources and third party applications. The position will maintain systems including Permit Enforcement Management Systems (PEMS), Parking And Revenue Control Systems (PARCS), GPS and passenger counting systems, radio and intercom communications and other technologies interacting with PaTS. Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. University Preferred Appropriate qualifications: Graduation from a four year college or university with a related degree to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and practice. Essential Job tasks » The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for technological innovation and leadership abilities for all Parking and Transportation Services (PaTS) hardware software and integrations between university data sources and third party applications. Other Work Responsibilities Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education » Four or more years practice with Parking Systems deployment and maintenance. » Detailed knowledge of camera systems. » Detailed knowledge of Mototrbo radios systems. » Significant practice with MS Excel and Google Sheets. » capability to develop Crystal/Webfocus/SQL reports and understand relational databases. » candidates will be able to describe the architecture of a relational data structure. » candidates will discuss practices with reporting tools and how output data was used. » candidates will discuss practices creating and working import/export files between to data systems. » candidates will be able to demonstrate how to disseminate data from a Workbook in an easy to understand output using filters, pivot tables and/or graphs. » candidates will discuss practices of improving a process for users (internal/external), how the change was implemented and how system documentation and training was managed..
