Eligible for occasional telework, as agreed by manager and/or director. Primary Purpose of Position The primary purpose of the position is to review academic credentials for first year prospective students to determine admissibility and to communicate admissions policies and procedures to students, families, and high school counselors. Members are responsible for the application process from beginning to end, including reviewing applications for errors, reviewing and waiving application requirements when appropriate, troubleshooting application and technical issues, reviewing and evaluating high school transcripts for minimum course requirements, calculating grade point averages, reviewing narrative submissions and letters of recommendation, and, with the University's move to test-optional admissions, reading and scoring essays. They are responsible for making the admission decision for our freshman candidates and for communicating significant information to students, families, and school counselors. Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. University Preferred Appropriate qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and practice.
