Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) OMN Illustrator position at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Illustrator is responsible for creating illustrations for editorial content and marketing campaigns. You work collaboratively with the students leaders from the The Barometer, Beaver's Digest, DAMchic and Creative Design.

Position tasks
   » Illustrator Responsibilities
   » Produces illustrations in both color and black and white that are either created digitally and submitted as a .jpeg or .png or are drawn, scanned, uploaded and submitted as a .jpeg or .png.
   » Produces accurate and impartial illustrations that fairly represent the story and the people involved.
   » Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
   » Attend meetings and trainings
   » Act in a professional manner at all times and create and maintain collegial working relationships with student staff, clients, partners, collaborators and the community
   » Other tasks as assigned by the student leaders
   » Communication
   » Respond to emails, messages, team chats and phone calls the same day, professionally representing OMN
   » leadership abilities
   » Be an enthusiastic leader and representative of OMN
   » Work to create an inclusive and welcoming culture of celebration and perseverance
   » Ensure designs and content are centered on equitable representation and inclusion, with attention to impact on historically excluded communities and constituencies
   » Follow and hold all staff and volunteers to all OMN policies and procedures

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
