Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $17.00 (Standard); $16.50 (Non-Urban); $18.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill four (4) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) pharmacy adjunct position for the Health Services Pharmacy at Oregon State University (OSU). The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions. This may include handling transactions at the cash register, preparing prescriptions for mail, answering phones, and participating in inventory control. This position directly supports the pharmacists at the Health Services Pharmacy, a partnership with Benton County. Their support helps in providing pharmaceutical care to clients of Benton Health Services. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years. Position tasks 70% - Customer service: Answers pharmacy phones; performs transactions at the cash register; prepares mailers; balances the books for previous day; performs end of day cash register balancing, organizing receipts from sales and balancing point of sale transactions with regular end of day print out. 20% - Inventory control: Under direction of licensed pharmacist, conducts routine audits of stock to ensure proper storage conditions and removes any inventory that has not been stored properly or is approaching expiration, puts orders away, Participates in quality improvement process. 10% - Miscellaneous: Helps with keeping the pharmacy clean including trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, etc. Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Additional Required Qualifications Must be professional, team worker, flexible, organized and efficient, and exhibit good communication expertise. Demonstrated capability to follow verbal/written instructions. capability to work effectively with co-workers in a high-volume work environment. Preferred (Special) Qualifications expertiseable in use of computer software comparable to Microsoft Office and Pioneer RX system. Fluent in English and Spanish. Working Conditions / Work Schedule The incumbent is an employee of Oregon State University, however the work performed is located off campus in the Benton County Health Services building located at 530 NW 27th St Corvallis, OR. The person in this position may be required to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position will handle sharp objects and will have access to controlled substances. This position will require the candidate to work all hours the clinic is open under the supervision of a pharmacist. This may include evenings and weekends.
